Master of Urban Planning
Specialization: Real Estate
The specialization in Real Estate is designed to provide students with a deep foundation and specialized skills to help them launch or enhance professional careers in real estate. It requires a minimum of six real estate courses including three core courses, two electives, and an additional course from the real estate electives or from a list of approved electives. In addition to formal course requirements, students pursuing the specialization must complete a thesis or professional project with a real estate faculty member or designee as their chair or as a member of the thesis committee. If scheduling permits, students are encouraged to take additional courses drawn from a list of interdisciplinary electives. The specialization in Real Estate is offered as a Concentration to students across campus to encourage interdisciplinary studies and facilitate collaborative, team-based problem solving in approaching real estate decisions.
